The island is very large, yet it has finely crafted details: Notches on the front and a 45-degree-miter on the side panels allow the kitchen units to shut even more smoothly. Visually, this makes them look particularly compact and cubic.

The solid wooden top on the island is movable. When fully extended and locked by a magnetic mechanism, it can also be used as a bar area. With the countertop and shelves, the work area picks up the island’s stone material. When no cooking is going on, the niche disappears behind the warm wooden surface of the folding pocket unit.
